NEW YORK –Castle Hill Capital Partners, (“Castle Hill”), is pleased to announce that Matthew Mordus of MIMIC, LLC (MIMIC) has joined the firm’s affiliate network. He will support the continued expansion of Castle Hill’s capital raising and advisory capabilities as the firm expands to meet the needs of its alternative investment clients.

About Matthew Mordus and MIMIC
Matthew Mordus is an experienced financial professional with 20 years of investing experience in the Alternatives industry. MIMIC is a capital advisory firm focusing on consulting for large institutional allocators as well as capital raising for niche, private fund opportunities, co-investments, and select hedge fund strategies. MIMIC leverages the due diligence capabilities and network developed from Matthew’s previous 20 years investing in hedge fund and private investment opportunities. A core pillar of MIMIC’s business plan is that the firm will not work with funds unless MIMIC is also directly invested in the fund first.
Prior to founding MIMIC, Matthew was Head of Hedge Fund Portfolio Management at XL Group, a Bermuda-based P&C, and Reinsurance firm. Matthew worked at XL for more than 17 years and was instrumental to portfolio construction (~$1.5-2 billion hedge fund portfolio), sourcing uncorrelated fund ideas, and due diligence. Prior to XL, Matthew worked in the Investment Banking Division (FIG) at Morgan Stanley.
Matthew’s allocator relationships encompass North America, Europe, and Asia and span all core institutional investor verticals including insurance companies, single/multi-family offices, Fund of Hedge Funds, private banks, OCIOs, wealth platforms, E&Fs and corporate/public plans.
He holds his Series 7 and 63 and is based in New York, NY.
